In this section, we will show you how to expand the headers of
your incoming e-mail, so you can see the full headers. This is
helpful for viewing all of the senders information, and is needed to
send to us so that we may attempt to take some action.
Select your e-mail client:
Eudora E-mail Client
Once the message is open you will see the Tool Bar. Click the
'Blah, Blah, Blah' button from the Tool Bar, and the headers will
appear. Once opened the header information will be forwarded with
the message body to the proper individuals.
MS Internet Mail
Open the desired message, and then select 'File' from the menu
options at the top of the screen. From the new options select
'Properties', and a box should appear. The header information is
contained in the 'Details' field. Note: If you are sending a message
to a Postmaster and are required to include header information, you
must cut and paste it.
Netscape 3.0 Mail
Once Netscape Mail is open, select 'Options' from the pull down
menu. Then select 'headers', and then 'Show All Headers' from the
menus.
Netscape Messenger 4.0 and 4.5
In Netscape Messenger click the "View" menu, pull down to the
"Header" listing, then go over and click on "All". Once this is
clicked all headers in the message that is showing should be
displayed. Header information must be copied via
<Ctrl><C> then pasted into a new message.
Pegasus E-mail Client
Before or after you open the message click on 'Reader' and then
select 'Show All Headers'. (You can also use 'Ctrl+H' as a
shortcut.) The header information that is displayed must be copied,
then pasted in a new e-mail if you are forwarding it on to your
network administrator or Policy Department. Highlight the first
line, move the mouse to the last line, hold the shift key down and
click the last line of the header. This will highlight all the lines
inbetween the two that you clicked on. Once highlighted, use the
copy and paste buttons on the toolbar to add this info to a new
message.
